Dear Hansons PLEASE take over Marathon Development for USA

Desiree Davila is now the 9th fastest American female marathoner EVER. Pretty huge breakthrough. I must admit, I never saw it coming.

If this involves working with USATF I doubt that the would be interested.

why does Hansons work?

Because they allocate resources amongst athletes rather than each athlete fending for him/herself.

Its socialism, and that's what athletes need. They don't need a capitalist allocating resources. When that happens you get the best athlete w/ all the resources, and the pretty-good with nothing.

The road to global athletic success will be paved w/ a solid running "middle class". Right now the US has a few "stars" making a living, and then everybody else working for The Man and training when they can.

I think not.

So u think $100k will incetivize more athletes than $50k?

And each of those athletes will try harder when there is more $ on the line?

And less $ will result in less effort?

Actually, the best economic system for runners is abject and overwhelming poverty. Duh.

1,500: 4:28.55

5,000: 16:17.45

10,000: 36:52.48

The hansons still have not had an athlete medal at any major competition (Olympics/World Championships), so are they really doing that much better than any other group? They are good at taking average to above average runners and making them exceed expectations, but to say that their athletes are performing head and shoulders above everyone else is ridiculous. No elite runner in the united states would do well under that program because Hansons doesnt have elite runners.

This is ridiculous. The Hansons have destroyed 20 athletes or more for every Sell and Davila they have produced. Sell and Davila are their best results and they still aren't "world class". Its like dropping a dozen eggs and being happy that only 11 broke.

Really. Which sub 28 minute 10k guy did they destroy? OH, I get it, you meant that the guy that wasn't good enough got exposed. Thanks to Hansons for giving these athletes that were not good enough to make it a chance.
