To celebrate the new snow in the northeast and the return of winter, I have decided to pose a friendly little situation.
If NCAA XC team title was decided by the best hockey team, who do you think would win?

Who won the Bean Pot? That's the team to pick.
Minnesota. I dont think there is any other contenders.
ND, they have a couple of crazy canadians...
Does anyone else find the mental image of Dartmouth's Ben True checking Galen Rupp into the boards funny?
I can see Acosta getting punched in the mouth.
I'm sure it would be pretty ugly to watch...can any of these guys actually skate?!
amazing, when i read this thread title i thought "minnesota or Ben True". I open it and what do i see?
Minnesota
You win the award for "Stupidest Post of the Day".
My guess is Hassan Mead would not be seeing any ice time.
UTEP
Oklahoma St. with Jankowski is their enforcer.
minnesota... wouldn't be close. they are practically canadian!

Why? For one thing, Minnesota has the highest percentage of votes right now so I'm not the only one. I know lots of the Minnesota guys have been known to play hockey in the past and Minnesota is known for hockey.
having spent most of my early life in minnesota i can honestly say that most guys know how to skate up there and it is not unusual for them to play hockey too. minnesota would probably win just by the virtue of knowing how to skate, although wisconsin might give them a run for their money
Here's a vote for Michigan State, although the men didn't make the cross country finals this year.
But the hockey team won last year's NCAA title, and nearly the entire team is from Michigan, which has more lakes than that "Land of 10,000 Lakes," Minnesota.
Michigan without a doubt. There are at least 5 ex-hockey players on that team. Plus their Michigan Hockey team is currently 2nd in the nation.
I agree...The golden gophers of Minnesota without a doubt. Those guys grow up on skates as it is all they can do from November to Feb. And yes, it wouldn't even be close.
How about who would win in tackle football? Lets see these guy suit up and play some football!
U. Guelph in Canada :P
I'm thinking Abilene Christian would not take the Div II title. But it would be funny to watch.
