Everyone here, whom Kip has finished in front of, should do the same. Just one voice from the wilderness will probably not get it done. He cheated to finish ahead of me in 2010 and I will do my part to see it doesn't happen again.

OK Kip, convince me that the West Wyoming Marathon really happened and convince the Race Director of the Delaware Marathon that you ran a legitimate race.

If he were to cheat, wouldn't it be smart for him to start with the bandits that all run. He would not look out of place without a number and he could have the chip in his pocket so when he crosses the first mat nobody would be any wiser.

If the mat was still on when the bandits go after the last corral he would have a offical start time right?

I just called them, I am to forward some information on him tonight. The lady's contact information who was posted here is incorrect. They are going to take this seriously. Does anyone have the contact information for the marathon RD who DQed him?

I wrote a note to her...I'll let you know if I hear back from the BAA.

You know how we know you're not runners? Because there are no logical or credible explanations for 15min chip times, and walking through starting lines in disguise, and missing checkpoints, and stopping midrace to change clothes, and passing runners who were never passed. Few people would care if such behavior didn't result in cheating one's peers out of awards and prize money, but they did. A high school runner would be able to understand this.

Some of us are dentists too. How many have made up races?

We've tried to get into contact with Kip numerous times.

Unfortunately he will somehow make money off of this.

Then write a book or send your story to Lifetime Television for Women and you have now become richer than the average dentist.

This is nothing more than Rosie Ruiz and Oscar Miranda taken to a whole different level. Rosie and Oscar both bit off more than they could chew. Rosie going for first place and not knowing what intervals were when asked and Oscar running a time that he couldn't maintain for 10k on his best day, then of course retiring. I had the priviledge to talk to Will Cloney once and I think he was too nice in even giving Oscar a second chance, but... I guess he had to.

Why did this fella from Michigan do these things in races, because he could.

What is he? Nothing more than a cheat who unfortunately will be rewarded.

I may be flattering us generally when I say that most of us had all that figured out. I would guess that what we are interested in in the minutae such as the strategies to hit all the mats, the transport between the mats, the outfit changes, avoiding being spotted generally, the preparation involved, any details we may have missed in terms of creating the fake races and so on. We could all speculate on these but we'd like to hear it from the master.

Unfortunately, there is enough appetite for this type of stuff that it's almost a foregone conclusion- you do something bizarre enough, you get to cash in.
