Agreed, he was in a no-win situation - trying to educate Neanderthals who seem to think that if you try to understand the situation rather than scream "Witch!" then you are in favour of intersex people running in women's events.

I'm out of the loop. Did he cancel his appearance at Furness Academy on 11 July? I can't find any reports about it, or cancellation notices either.

How is Tucker bending to societal pressure? Seems like the public out of sympathy for Semenya would want her to compete. If personally biased towards his country, seems like Tucker should want Semenya to compete at her highest and fastest ability with unrestricted testosterone levels. Yet, Tucker argues against these opinions. He thinks Semenya (who represents his own country of South Africa) should only be allowed to compete with T levels at 10 and no higher. Read his entire detailed analysis of this from May.

I looked at a lot of the Race Across USA pictures last night. What a race. These folks are an interesting lot.

I have a couple of theories.

1. His wife was in the USA at at least the end portion of the race:

2. Some of his friends that dropped in on his record attempt in the early days were a part of the Race Across the USA, but they dropped out to go run on their own because they disagreed about "race management" or whatever that means.

I looked at it and the 2 runners that drop and Vanessa don't look to obviously be in on the con though. During Race Across the USA they hung with the group until around West Texas and then split up. They are even in some Instagram pictures after they had left the "race."

4. Race Across USA was a joke as well and Rob got the idea for his fake record breaking run on the way. If you look at the instagram pictures, Rob looks 5 pounds lighter during this time period. I'm guessing that he is actually running each day, but they frequently ran the daily marathon in stages, took breaks to talk to bored students at schools, didn't run the full distance, etc. I haven't dug into the results, but there were only 6 other runners, several of who look like they are nearing retirement age. It isn't shocking that Robert could run far ahead of them.

I assume our man Robert is reading this thread. I wonder what he is thinking? Does he really think he can somehow wiggle his way out this? Unless this investigation is a sham (and the identity of the investigators suggests that it is not), then he is going to be very badly exposed.

I suppose there may still be a few sycophants that still "believe in him" after this is all over. But Rob has gotta know that his life is now changing for the worse.

On his wiki page he mentions running over 2200 miles and climbing over 100,000 feet of climbing as part of a two man team in 25 days. Has anyone read about this? Surely this has to be considered suspicious?

He still has loads of fans. They refuse to read a word against him. They believe he is a super human athlete and anyone that doubts he cheated is simply a jealous hater.

He removes all negative posts off his page and only leaves the fanboys, who basically know nothing about data and what is possible over a run like this, so loads still believe he is jesus christ, and he continues to reach out to them for attention.

He will simply carry on exactly the same - asking for money and bullshitting anyone daft enough to believe him

I'm thinking about a possible explanation Rob could use (apart from the RV stuck in the desert bit). When Rob is sleeping in the RV, Dustin and Michael drive on at 10 mph with 2nd tom tom going. If Rob doesn't wake up during the drive they stop, Rob gets out and resumes running. If he wakes up they tell Rob they're driving to get food, supplies etc. They do that and drive back and give Rob the original tom tom to run with.

Love it, the creative mind at work, 481 pages and still new theories.

I think the other SKINS athlete (Adam?) was part of this, one was biking and the other running.

I started looking at those results. I think he probably did run it all legit as often he was finishing the same time as other runners. Some of his stage "wins" were finishing with others and at times others were only a few minutes behind. His times were less than exciting if you compare to the most recent attempt.

The Age of the other finishers were (34 - Carlson, 30 - Ramsey, 32 - RY, 53 - Van Soye, 56 - Mazenko, 64 - Bennett, 73 - Baker)

It wasnt that hard really. 25 miles a day and rest days, and the other 5 or 6 people were older and not much competition.

However - why wasnt he seen by an official during any of these races?

He makes out he was so fast no one ever saw him.

Arrived at checkpoints before marshals got there, and again arrived at the finish BEFORE any staff.

He set off, then appeared at the finish each day.

No proof he really did run each stage. No data and no one saw him during all these days running

Looks like he's out. His "Team Skins GB" partner, Adam Holland, just posted on Facebook that he's looking for a partner for what they'd planned as a 2-man run:

"ASAP looking for another running. So we can be a pair! To compete in the Thunder run this weekend (£52.50) Need to know by today so feel free to inbox me thanks"
