85% of NAIA schools are small, private (usually church owned) schools. Typical enrollment is in the 1000-2000 range. There are some exceptions on both ends (big and small), but SFU and UBC blow them out of the water. SFU has over 25,000 full time students and over 10,000 part time students (Fall of 2004). UBC has over 40,000 students (Last fall was projected at 43,000 with 3,500 increase). Their increase is bigger than most schools in total.
With these kind of numbers it is awful hard to believe that their athletic programs aren't getting more support financially as well as in other areas compared to 99% of the NAIA. The money is there you just arel looking very well.

Why are ppl hating!The girl is awesome, no one in NAIA will even come close to her. The NCAA girls still haven't ran there times this year but they will soon be there, leave this hard working runner alone and respect what she has done. Keep the good work up, you are awesome in my book...

Following up the original topic, Rebecca just set a small 1500m PB coming 3rd at the Oregon Twilight: 4:20.18
We'll have to wait a few more hours to see if her new NAIA and SFU record will survive Julia's 800 this afternoon.
The wind seems to be affecting times, plus the 800 isn't as strong for Julia; I'll predict a 2:03-high/2:04-low, with Noble sitting and kicking her off (if she runs the 800).
