$3000 to the winner with an extra $4000 for a WR (2:21:48 for the men, 2:42:30 for women).

With a first place prize of $200,000, that means a victory in a WR time nets you almost half a million.

Any American moving into the top-10 or the top 25 on the US decending order list for 2016 will get a $5,000 or $2,000 bonus. As of now, 2:15:52/2:35:00 is top 10 and 2:20:41/2:41:18 is top 25.

Lauren Verswweyveld won the women's race in 1:19:14 to win $1,250 while Benson Chesang got $1,000 for 4th place in the men's race (1:08:22). The winner, Emil Dobrowolski of Poland, got $750 for running 1:04:41.

The inaugural "Peachtree Cup" will have 4 teams from the US, Africa, Asia and Europe with 6 runners per team (3 men, 3 women). This is no joke as $81,000 of the $98,500 available prize money comes from the team competition.

This is good news since the problem everyone had with LA winning the bid was that they reportedly were offering $100,000 less prize money than Houston. Hopefully this means LA stepped up and matched or offered more than Houston's original bid.

We catch up with the NAU senior who's raised himself to a completely different level this fall, going from a collegian who hasn't made an NCAA outdoor meet to a US champion and American record holder. He also says he's undecided about taking his $20k prize money and turning pro or finishing out his NCAA career (he has indoor & outdoor left).

Hall is the overall leader despite never winning a USARC race this year, but only 2-points ahead of Molly Huddle and Brianne Nelson.

Wilson Kipsang needs to win on Sunday in order to beat Dennis Kimetto for the half million dollar prize. Rita Jeptoo is already a lock for the win on the women's side.

The race with its new "American Development Program" will have tons of US-only prize money including time bonuses to those who hit Olympic Trials qualifying marks. There will be a total of $135,000 in prize money.  

In the wake of CGI backing out of the elite side of the sport, many other races continue to stop up. This is the first time the race will have an elite field since 1998.
