How Kenyan 2:03:06 man Moses Mosop proves Ryan Hall’s self-coaching wasn’t a mistake and why there is hope for the US’s fastest marathoner to get back on top.

Even if Bernard Lagat sucks by his lofty standards, 2015 is going to be the year of Lagat. Shannon Rowbury, Moses Mosop and Cas Loxsom are off to good starts in 2015, and we take a look back at 2014 as Yuki Kawauchi once again ran more sub-2:10 marathons than all of America combined. Canova says that Mosop is probably more in 2:14 shape (which is still "ridiculous" compared to his PR). He thinks the problem lies in the fact that he hasn't touched on speed at all in the last two years due to injuries.

"My body felt empty from the start. No enough speedwork was done due to an injury and I will have new start after some rest. One never knows how far one can go after injuries and I was cautious in training and that did cost me 10-12 seconds per kilometer."

Terer ran 2:08:07 to beat Evans Chebet by 10-seconds.  Cuthbert Nyasango was 3rd in a Zambabwe NR of 2:09:52. Moses Mosop had a disappointing race running 2:20:37 for 12th. 2011 NYC champ Dado dominated the women's race in 2:23:34.

Komon was pretty spectacular and wanted even more - the World Record - as he went out with the wind in 13:39 (57:36 pace). Mosop's right knee injury isn't viewed as serious and he hopes to be in sub 2:06:00 four weeks after Boston.
