Lokedi blasted the downhill section from 35k to 40k in 14:48 (with a 4:35 24th mile!) en route to a repeat victory in Boston in 2:18:51. Jess McClain was the top American for the second straight year, running a pb of 2:20:07 for 5th.

Sharon Lokedi blasted 35k to 40k in 14:48 to win Boston in 2:18:51 and repeat as champion. Jess McClain’s 2:20:49 set a new American course record.

Lokedi turned the tables on Obiri after losing four straight and picked up a cool $200k in the process.  

After a night that saw him win two races, Grijalva called out Mo Katir for his whereabouts violations. Plus Val Constien looked good in her return to the steeple and Craig Engels talked big after finishing last in the 800 as Elly Henes and Keira D'Amato did not run in the 10,000.
