Grant Fisher’s half marathon debut did not go as planned at the 2026 United NYC Half. The indoor 3000m and 5000m world record holder ran with the lead pack early but faded badly over the final 5K to finish 14th, while South Africa’s Adriaan Wildschutt won the race in his second-ever half marathon.

Fisher will battle ten sub-60 men in his road race debut in Sunday in NYC.   "I'm chasing more of a feeling than a time or a place... I'm the rookie now."
