Reekie negative-split her way to a big 800 win, while Thompson obliterated the 100m field with a world-leading 10.85.

The 2017 IAAF World Championships are less than a month away, but if you can't wait until then, consider Sunday's Müller Anniversary Games a preview. Sunday morning's action (9-11 am ET) will be fantastic as the meet features many of track and field's biggest stars including Mo Farah, Allyson Felix, Laura Muir, Fred Kerley, Elaine Thompson, Keni Harrison and Mariya Lasitskene. The men's 800 is unreal with Donavan Brazier, Emmanuel Korir, Asbel Kiprop, Nijel Amos and Adam Kszczot. The women's mile is almost as good as Muir takes on Jenny Simpson, Kate Grace and Hellen Obiri. Farah faces Eric Jenkins, Ryan Hill and Hassan Mead in the men's 3000.

Some of the events at the 2017 Pre Classic are without a doubt better than the 2017 Rio Olympic finals. We're so excited we even preview the men's pole vault and women's 200 but we also will see a loaded women's 1500 with Faith Kipyegon, Laura Muir and Jenny Simpson and possibly the youngest sub-4 mile in history.

David Rudisha was trounced by 19-year old Kipyegon Bett but the other favorites in the mid-d and distance races delivered as Olympic champs Faith Kipyegon and Ruth Jebet were dominant.

It was a great meet in Birmingham with European records for Laura Muir and Sir Mo. World leaders and wins for Americans Cas Loxsom and Ben Blankenship, plus a Kenyan record for Hellen Obiri.  

It's should be a tremendous women's 100m final as five women have broken 10.80 this year and that doesn't even include Dafne Schippers.

Asafa Powell won the 200m in 20.45, Elain Thompson had a super quick 10.71 wind aided 100m, Shaunae Miller a wind aided 22.14 200m, and Alexa Efraimson dominated the 1500m in a meet record of 4:08.37.
