Birhanu Legese Wins RAK Half-Marathon In 60:40 After A Thrilling 7-Man Battle Over The Final Kilometer

The top-4 men all finished within 1-second of each other as Legese beat a field that included Stanley Biwott (2nd), Leonard Komon (10th) and Wilson Kipsang (11th). For the women, Cynthia Limo moved to third on the all-time list with 66:04 as a record 6-women went under 67-minutes. 2015 RAK Half Marathon Recap: Marvelous Mary Keitany And Remember The Drone

Mary Keitany ran the third fastest time ever (66:02) to put away a stiff challenge by Mamitu Daska, who set a new Ethiopian record of 1:06:27. The men's race came down to a 5-way sprint but the big news was the drone that filmed parts of the race with stunning shots.

Kenya’s Dominic Ondoro Breaks Dick Beardsley’s 33-Year-Old Grandma’s Marathon Course Record With 2:09:06 Victory

Nick Arciniaga was 9th in 2:14:31. Pasca Myers ran 2:33:45 to win over US's Brianne Nelson (2:34:44). Julius Koskei won the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon in 1:03:36 while Cynthia Limo took the women's race in 1:09:50.
