Great shoe, comfortable, light, flexible, responsive, and visible thanks to the Campfire Stories colorway. Best for fast days on smooth surfaces or on groomed paths-the soft outer soles are not trail friendly. The only real knock on them is that the cushy one piece foam wears down quickly. There are two small patches of harder material on the outside of the heel and the inside of the big toe area but these are mostly for show.

Lightweight super simple neutral trainer. Low drop helps with Achilles issue. The upper design is snug and well vented. No frills but kills.

This shoe is really lightweight and flexible which makes it nice for speedwork when I don't want extra assistance. It is very comfortable and the extra thick insole adds to the comfort.

Kinvaras are great.  They have enough cushioning for running on hard surfaces and don't feel like anchors on your feet like some other shoes.  The only downside is that they seem to wear out faster than more substantial shoes, but that's a tradeoff I gladly make.

    • Great shoe for all speeds.

Saucony's Kinvara has been in my shoe rotation since its earliest iteration. I am not a long distance runner, but primarily a sprinter. That said, I need a training shoe that is lightweight and cushioned, but not pillowy. The Kinvara fits the bill nicely, holds up well under the stress of high speed (sort of) running, and remains a bargain.

My last three daily trainers have been the Kinvara 14, 12, and 10. I have found the 14 to be the most comfortable version of the most recent models and like the other Kinvaras to be very durable for a more minimalist shoe.

Edition 14 is lighter than predecessors, but seems more well cushioned. If one could only buy one shoe for training and racing over any distance / surface/ terrain, this would be my choice

Very responsive for everyday training with good cushioning.   Good flexibility and snug fit for narrow feet.

this shoe is quite squishy. almost alarmingly so, as someone that came from the Adidas boston series of shoes. After running probably 100 miles in it, I'm sold on the squish. The outsole is kept light by not having much rubber, which does greatly effect durability (especially on rubber chip tracks it seems) but this lightness makes them feel fast enough to run a road 10k or even 5k in.
