Overall a very good running shoes. Cushioned but light and comfortable enough for a race. I have been wearing them since #3 and change for the upgrades. I use them for training and racing since I am very injury prone.
the lunar glides evolved from good shoes to really good, and no one was noticing. Outside of their lack to tread on the bottom, which did cause a few issues over time, the balance of moderate stability and cushioning made these very solid dependable shoes. Fairly seamless uppers, good solid fit without being too wide or too narrow.
Very similar to the LunarGlide 7, but much improved in its appearance. The LunarGlide 8 is a decent shoe across the board but is not exceptional at anything. Initial comfort and cushioning is great but Lunarlon is quick to compress and that initial feeling disappears rather quickly. The LunarGlide 8 introduced lunarlon pods to the outsole but these ended up trapping rocks and you would have to clean the rocks out after every run.
Quality running shoe. Wears out quick.
Took about 20-30 miles to break in, on both pairs that I've had. Got them off of an overuse foot injury, so was hoping that the extra support would help. They do have a lot of cushion for everyday miles, but on longer runs you start to feel the extra weight. Great shoe for in season if you have flats to workout in, as they would not be a good workout shoe, too pillow-y.
This shoe utilizes the lunar technology that is great along with a bit of stability on the insole and heel. I double use these for running and refereeing and I really enjoy these shoes support and comfort for being on my feet sometimes for hours on end. I have bought 3 pairs and each one has lasted around the 400 mile mark.
