Are the the snazziest shoe on the rack? No. The colorways are not the coolest. But they offer very comfortable and cushioned ride and I can get at least 400 miles out of them. These are not cushioned like Hokas, but do provide some squish while still being responsive. It's a no frills, dependable shoe that goes on sale periodically, which makes it an excellent shoe when you're racking up miles for a marathon.

Run on road, trail, and track with it. Compared to some NB shoes, a fairly light trainer available in narrow width.

My favorite daily trainer for XC. I previously had a really bad case of heel striking and this shoe completely fixed it. If you heel strike in these shoes, you're going to feel it. My only complaint is that the toe box runs small. Also in New Balance fashion there is a massive slab of rubber on the bottom.

I came off of Mizuno wave riders, which have turned to junk, and seem to contribute to some nagging injuries. The NB 880s are much more well cushioned, yet light, comfortable and quick enough. If you have to run in the long enough to know if they’re really durable, but they seem to be alright and I project they will be fine for my typical 350-400 mile rotation.
