As someone consistently running 35-40 miles/week and who has tried many different shoes, Brooks Ghosts are the only shoe that I have completely avoided injury in. I am prone to foot, shin, and knee problems, and have tried many different shoes to help with this. These shoes, paired with insoles have helped me avoid injury and train more effectively.

Very comfortable. Just the right amount of cushioning and support. I used to run in the Glycerin but switched to the Ghost about 5 years ago.

These shoes are the actual best if it wasn't for their ugly colorway.

The size and/or shape of the toe box has changed. It doesn't fit the same as previous Ghost models. Now my big toes rub and feel cramped. I'm not sure if the width or the length has changed.

If it fit better, I would probably like it a lot more. I'm a fan of Ghost 15 and earlier.

Used to run pretty fast/a ton of miles way back when and fell in love with a discontinued saucony model. Ran in college and trained in Nike Pegasus for years to my detriment and had to take significant time off to heal. These are the only shoes I’ve tried that kind of make me feel like a runner again!

I am a Ghost purist. It is all that I have trained and raced in for my past 50 or so marathons (168 total). The 16 fits me perfect and has sufficient cushioning (I’m over 200 lbs), but not too much. I have no reason to try any other shoe. The Ghost is, and always has been, a perfect running shoe for me.
