This shoes has worked out very well for me so far. This shoe fits well if you have a narrow heel and feel like you are slipping in other shoes. Slightly heavier than expected so it is not great for a tempo --> faster paced shoes but works very well for everyday training. Cushioning is good but not enough to make it my go to long run shoe, however is very comfortable up to around 10 miles. All in all very pleased with this shoes and will be buying again.
**Latest model** The transition to primarily bounce foam through the forefoot is not welcomed well. When used for daily training, these shoes have caused aches and pains, as well as diminished recovery, compared to other shoes on the market. I have worn multiple pairs of this iteration of Supernova now and can report that they all are disappointing to train in. Please look elsewhere if your budget allows. I'm sure there are better shoes in the same price range as well.
Good to excellent cushioning. Uppers fit tight, not wide enough for a “normal” foot. Wears too quickly with Goodyear covering. Boost midsole works well in absorbing the impact of your foot placement. Good distance shoe with decent flexibility.
I've ran in the Supernova for a number of years as my main training shoe. I love the support it gives on my long runs, but doesn't completely bulk up and loose a tonne of speed. It lasted extremely long compared to a lot of other shoes I've worn. I love, love, love this shoe!
I picked these up for $32 at Marshalls one day. I've been pounding out my XC summer miles, and running distances up to 13.1 miles, the cushioning and comfort is top notch. They're definitely not a speed shoe, but they are versatile, as they work at slow-decent paces and can go on dry trails if needed.
I used the Supernova ST previously but switched to the Supernova M (neutral). It's even better. The quiet revamping of the materials and upper between the first and second generations (there is no official distinction) vastly improved the shoe.
While I'm fairly light, it's incredibly durable and can pick up the pace when needed. I tend to use it on streets and non-technical trails, where it has demonstrated exceptional traction.
The only downsides in my opinion are a semi-long break-in time and some stiffness in the second generation that wasn't in the first.
I like the cushioning and the feel, but I wish the sole was more durable. It seems like I could wear through the sole in under a month if I did not rotate shoes or run on soft surfaces regularly.
The boost in the shoe actually serves to give energy return and cushioning. Doesn’t leave you beat up like some other shoes. Also extremely durable and while not being the prettiest shoe doesn’t look terrible either
By far the most comfortable shoe I have ever run in
Adidas stopped making new models of the Supernova Glide and instead changed the identity of the shoe and turned it into just the Supernova. It is a quality show that has good durability and cushion, but pales in comparison to its predecessor in just about every way. Overall it's a perfectly fine neutral trainer, but maybe falls short when you consider it's price.
