The standards are way harder than ever -- 1:43.00 in the men's 800, 3:30.00 in the 1500 -- as World Athletics targets 40% of qualifiers by standard and 60% by rankings. Plus athletes can no longer hit the standard on 200m indoor tracks like Boston University.
