Men’s Results 2024 New York City Marathon: Abdi Nageeye Wins
By LetsRun.comAbdi Nageeye, the Olympic silver medallist in 2020 from the Netherlands, outkicked Evans Chebet over the final half mile to win the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon in 2:07:39 as defending champ and Olympic champ Tamirat Tola was 4th. US Olympian Conner Mantz was the first American in 6th.
After a slow opening half of 1:05:33, the action heated up on 1st Avenue when Evans Chebet began pushing the pace. Soon the lead pack was down to 6th and over the final mile it was a duel between just Nageeye and Chebet.
