It’s Official: Christian Coleman the Betting Favorite in 60m Showdown with Noah Lyles at World Indoors

Betting Odds for The World Indoor Track and Field Championships

The men’s 60-meter showdown between world record holder Christian Coleman and reigning 100-meter world champion Noah Lyles is set to take place at the 2024 World Athletics Indoor Championships on Friday in Glasgow, Scotland, and Coleman is the official betting favorite.

US sportsbook DraftKings has odds on the race and Coleman is an even-money favorite +100 (50%) to bring home the world title.

Lyles is the second favorite at +125 (44.4%) and then it is a big dropoff to Jamaican Ackeem Blake, who is the third choice at +425 (18.2%). Ferdinand Omanyala of Kenya is the 4th choice at +2000 (4.8%)

Lyles defeated Coleman by .01, 6.43 to 6.44 at the USATF Championships this year. He also beat Blake by .01, 6.44 to 6.45 at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix. Coleman beat Blake by .04 at the Millrose Games this year.

DraftKings also has odds on the 60-meter hurdles, where Grant Holloway (-1100, 91.7%) is the huge favorite to keep his unbeaten streak alive. Ryan Crouser is an even bigger favorite in the shot put (-3500, 97.2%), Sanghyeok Woo (-220, 68.8%) is favored in the high jump,  and Mondo Duplantis is favored in the pole vault (-1000, 90.9%).

On the women’s side Julien Alfred is an even-money favorite in the 60m  (+100 50%), Chase Jackson (-105, 51.2%) is favored in the shot put, Yaroslava Mahuchikh in the high jump (-225, 69.2%), Devynne Charlton in the 60m hurdles (-400, 80%), and Molly Caudery in the pole vault is the only favorite (+175, 36.4%) with less than a 50% chance to win for any of the listed events.
