Robert Johnson is the co-founder of LetsRun.com. If a women's marathon world record falls in Chicago, he's often in the midst of it. He helped rabbit Kenya's Catherine Ndereba to the world record in 2001 before asking Ruth Chepngetich a few doping questions in 2024 - that resulted in 13 members of Kenya's parliament demand he apologize. He also was part of the greatest dynasty in any NCAA men’s sport in Ivy League history (8 straight outright Ivy titles) when he was the coach of the men’s distance program at Cornell University for 10 years. He now resides in Baltimore with his wife and son.
