The 2023 Bank of America Chicago Marathon was today in Chicago. The elite races are already over and the men’s WR was broken as Kelvin Kiptum ran 2:00:35. Sifan Hassan broke the women’s course record as well, running the second fastest time in history 2:13:44.
Training partners Conner Mantz and Clayton Young of the United States both dipped under auto Olympic qualifying time of 2:08:10 as Galen Rupp came up short. Emily Sisson got first American honors in 7th, only one spot up on Olympic bronze medallist Molly Seidel.
