This week’s LetsRun.com Track Talk podcast is here (subscribe here). Matt Hart the author of Win at All Costs: Inside Nike Running Its Culture of Deception (buy here), which is THE book on Alberto Salazar and the Nike Oregon Project and a hugely recommended read, joined us at 63:30 to talk about the book, Alberto, the NOP and a lot more.

Part I of our talk with Matt is available now and Matt talks about how he came about writing the book, the testosterone experiments Alberto Salazar ran on his kids, the history of Athletics West and more.  In Part II (available to Supporters Club members now, everyone else next week), he talks about Jerry Schumacher being a background source for the book, the alleged attempted kiss by Alberto Salazar on Kara Goucher on the flight to the World Championships in Daegu, and Nike sports psychologist Darren Treasurer trying to play mind games on Matt as he researched the book.

Prior to that we broke down the big news in the running world, Christian Coleman being banned again for three missed drug tests. We have little sympathy for his Chipotle, Walmart, Monday Night Football excuse.

That led to discussion of who is the Olympic 100m favorite? Noah Lyles? 39 year-old Justin Gatlin? What about Usain Bolt?

Olympic 1500m Taoufik Makhloufi is involved in a drug investigation in France, could Leo Manzano get the Olympic gold?

We were also full of William & Mary women’s track and field team standing up for men’s team and against discrimination by saying they would not compete unless the men’s team is reinstated.
