The Mike Wardian Podcast – Is The Quarantine Backyard Ultra Winner Primed To Be The “Eliud Kipchoge” of Backyard Ultras?
By LetsRun.com
April 9, 2020
At last, the world got to watch a much-needed sporting event that was broadcast live around the globe. The 1st Quarantine Backyard Ultra is in the books and Mike Wardian has won it. LetsRun.com co-founder Robert Johnson (Rojo) caught up with Wardian yesterday and the podcast is now live. Find out how Wardian went from a so-so college lacrosse player to an ultramarathon star. At age 45, has he found his unbeatable event – the Backyard Ultra? Rojo seems to think so as Wardian hardly ever needs to sleep. After winning the Backyard Ultra by running 262+ miles over 63 hours without any sleep, Wardian proceeded to go to work. As of 5 pm Wednesday, he’s slept a total of 4:45 since Saturday morning.
