Evan Jager talked with LRC before Saturday’s NYRR Dash to the Finishline 5k.
Jager’s 2013 was a good one with a 5th place at the World Champs in the steeplechase and a 13:02.40 5000m PR in Brussels.
We’ll have more on Jager next week but if you want to watch what he said it’s below. Jager said he was “initially disappointed” with his World Champs performance, but then realized not only did he place higher than at the Olympics, but he closed faster at Worlds than he did at the Olympics in a faster race.
Two part with Jager below.
The shorter clip part II which is first is what we recommend if you have limited time. In it Jager talks about how it’s “never fun” admitting he didn’t capitalize because of “mental mistakes.”
