I've got this nice 11 page copy of a presentation Coach Mel Brodt ( Bowling Green State University) gave at the Ohio Association of Track Coaches (Jan 26, 1973). If I had the time and the typing skills, I would copy all 11 pages, but I don't. Bit I'm sure you'll like what I've done none the least. I've copied what's on the last page of the doc word for word, so please don't ask me what the abbreviations mean. I'm guess that if you see something like (6x120 GBGEGG) it mean Good, Best, Good, Easy, Good, Good in terms of effort, which seemed to be the fad in the 60/70's.

Dave ; I certainly hope that the above will get you to the point of sharpness which will be necessary to accomplish what you have your heart set on doing. It'll be tough and I hope you'll have somebody who will be able to work out part of the workout with you as Jan and Rick did here at BG before the Trials. Coach Al Beuhler will probably be with you along with Wheeler and I'm sure he will help you as much as possible.
My wife and I will arrive in the Munich area (either Oberammergau or Traunstein area) on August 21/. I'll try make my way to the Olympic Village as soon as possible thereafter - As I understand it, I shouldn't have too much difficulty in getting in.
Good luck to you all the way through. Adjust the workouts wherever you deem it necessary as it's tough to see your physical reactions without being there.
Take care of yourself and Jan. Have an enjoyable trip with many experiences and whatever the outcome we're with you 100%. You'll do very well as you're a CHAMPION in many, many ways.
