Hi all - hoping for some advice. I've been running in the Nike Zoom Streak 6 Flyknit's for a couple of years now.
Perfect trainer for me and I love them - but as I'm sure you're aware, they were discontinued and it's near impossible to get hold of them from anywhere now.
I reckon i've got a few more months in my current pair - but now I need to find a suitable replacement.
I'm a 5-10k runner and I really like the light and responsive feel.

Zoom Streak 7 is too obvious?
From reviews, they seem like a completely different shoe.
The uppers are very different and i've seen a lot of people saying they feel quite heavy/bulky in comparison.
Was looking at the LT 4's, but concerned about going down to a 4mm drop.

I haven't used streak flyknit but had streak 6 and 7 and there's no difference in the midsole / outsole, just upper is different. I'm not huge on the 7 upper, feels less secure than the 6, but still a great shoe - I don't think it'll be a deal breaker for you.
If it is a dealbreaker I wouldn't use the streak LTs on long tempo runs, but if for <30 mins of work I don't find the cushioning or drop to be an issue. If you want to do longer workouts, similar shoes from other brands are the NB 1400s, Adidas adios (don't get v5, got a lot worse).
I did my second run in the NB FuelCell Rebels today. Love the shoe. I’m using it instead of the FK streaks now for fast stuff on the track etc
I didn't find going from the 6's to the 7's a difficult transition.
I also liked the LT4s, but they are quite a different shoe, and aren't as durable.
Thanks for the suggestions so far - my big issue is how chunky a lot of the trainers soles seem to be at the moment.
Hadn't really appreciated how slender and low profile the flyknit Streak 6's were until i've started researching properly.
I think I've got to accept Nike have moved onto a very different type of trainer now - looks like the LT4's have been discontinued too and are just as impossible to find online as the Streak 6 flyknits.
Been digging around for the past couple of days and trying to whittle down this list - anyone have any feedback?
- Nike Zoom Rivalry Fly 2.
- New Balance 1500v6.
- Mizuno Wave Shadow 3.
- Nike Zoom Streak 7 ( as it's the closest thing, i probably will give it a go. Seems to be conflicting reviews online. Some say 10mm drop, some say 8mm.)
