He has recently posted a few Instagram stories with him doing a paid-promotion for RXBARS. Then today, he had a story and Youtube video, both sponsored. However, now the story and the Youtube video are gone?! Does he know about possible NCAA violations? I saw he said that he thought it was fine because he earned money before talking to BYU, but I don't know.

Seems he really has a habit of attempting to bend rules, when he transferred to “be closer to his sister” after being a homeschooled student but running at Rock Canyon the family didn’t seem to understand why he was ineligible that season. I remember there was a Runnerspace article and he got shut down in the comments pretty quick by a coach at a school north of Denver. This is a very blatant violation and the NCAA has been very clear that social media sponsorships are still in violation of collegiate rules.
Not to mention he’s over a year older than typical high school athletes in his grade level. This is well within the rules but I’d still say it’s bending them to his advantage. If the NCAA decided to pursue a violation it wouldn’t be that difficult for them to examine his bank statements and see if RX has given him money. We will see what happens
