If I have PRs of 24.0 in the 200. 1:27 600 (only ran it once ) and 1:59 800 what do you believe I should be able to run in the 400.
I did a calculation online that said take your 200 PR and x2 then add 4. So would a 52 would be realistic ?

I know a guy who runs 23.5, and 1:59... and runs 50.xx
So 52 is probably accurate. May take a couple tries to actually hit it though ,the 400 is a different beast altogether.
Yeah, I think you should be able to run 52, and possibly 51.x with some practice. I've been almost exactly where you are. You'll need some workouts 4 x 150m fast, 4 x 300m @ 400m pace plus 1-2 sec (so, try to hit 40-41 consistently), and 2 x 600 @ 800m pace plus 5 sec (around 1:35). If you do these with recovery to HR 120 that should be sufficient ... I'd suggest something different if you accomplished the 51 or 52 and then wanted to continue with the 400, but for now that should get you there. Good luck!
I ran a high 24 in practice during reps, a 1:59 800m and a split a 53 in a relay (right after a 1500 race). I'm also more a 1500 runner.
I'd say u can run a 52 low, maybe a high 51.
53 open, 52 split.
