Saw on here recently a theory that the Boston University Track&Tennis Center indoor track is a bit short. Started thinking and realized the theory probably isn't that bad. Seeing how the majority of collegiate and pro runners PRs have occurred there I started thinking this surely can't be a coincidence... there's no way nobody is capable of running those same times on other indoor tracks. Seems interesting to me that pro runners are willing to make the trip to Boston to race there when there is likely a track closer that offers just as big of a meet. Similarly, big teams like NAU tend to send their athletes there rather than large meets close to them. Also can't be a coincidence that whenever Nike (specifically Salazar in past years prior to the obvious recent ban) wants to qualify an athlete for something or is having one attempt to set a record they send them to Boston to do it.
Is it possible this track is shorter than the claimed 200 meters or is it truly just "the fastest track in the world"?
