i wonder how many people voted for Simpson just because Rojo tried to rig the poll?

I think she received a lot of votes from people who know how hard it is to medal against politically protected EPO soaked E Africans.

That's exactly the kind of thing I would do!
Unfortunately I vaguely recall I may have voted for Shorter by mistake. I take it back, Rupp is way faster and I don't hold the NOP shenanigans as a worse asterisk than the limited-testing 1970s.

Well, not that many, noting that it was 50 : 50 at the end, and when rojo started influencing Jenny's lead was quite substantial:

Will be interesting to see whether any athletes will publicly comment on rojo's failed attempt.
In this unique time, shouldn't it be "rojo stays home DEVASTATED"?

Yeah but rojo would write the headline as “Rojo Goes Home Devested”
Not true. I asked jonathan gault to figure out who was ahead at midnight and he said it's as Joanie.
Joanie is clearly ahead now. He said the software allowed him to go back to 12 midnight (although hes' not sure what time zone - it was supposed to end at ET) and Joanie was ahead then!!
Joanie for the win.
I'm surprised she came back as when I went to bed at like 10:30 ET she was still down like 45 votes. I remember thinking. Let's say there is 100 votes that still come in. Could she possible get enough? I was thinking, "No." but then then I realized if she got 3/4ths of them - 75 to 25 she'd have enough so I thought there was an outside shot she could do it.
So can you please post the screen shot as Jonathan Gault ran the software back to midnight (but our normal software is Central time - not sure about the poll) and Joanie was ahead.

Various posters saw Jenny ahead at 12:00

He’s wrong. I looked at 12:01 eastern and Jenny was still ahead. Seriously pathetic that you not only weren’t able to set a cutoff but you also have “recounted” the winner incorrectly. I’d have taken a screenshot if I knew you were this incompetent.
lol you're so lame, rojo.

Odd, I saw Joanie ahead at 12:00 central time.
if rojo hadn't have made such a huge fuss over the fact that a 1-time olympic champion and 1-time US champion was losing a poll to jenny simpson, it wouldn't have even been close

Spite towards Rojo is a thing here.
Sounds like a sprint finish, with strength prevailing over speed?

Weaker era.
Also worth noting that she did not run that on a record-eligible course. No one claimed Mutai's 2:03:02 as the WR when he ran it at Boston. I guess they did back in the 1980s.

FInisher's medal inflation. Millennials demand their medals.

Peter Bol: independent testing says he did not take EPO - Can the EPO test be trusted?
