What would be a good shoe for someone who likes the Zante Pursuits but doesn't want as much cushioning as a Nike Pegasus?
I've been thinking of trying the Adidas Boston or Adios but I'm not sure which one is closer as it's kind of hard to try on shoes right now.
Why not just go with the Zante's replacement, the Tempo?

The fuelcell impulse feels similar to the pursuit, if you’re a forefoot runner. It’s the same weight, similar firmness, but with a bit of pop with the fuelcell in the forefoot. I was wary of the bootie fit upper, but it’s extremely comfortable and a bit more stable than the pursuit.
I have the zante pursuit, the impulse, the fuelcell rebel, AND the pegasus 36 so I have a pretty good frame of reference. I use the impulse for tempos instead of the pursuit now, and the rebel for recovery and long runs rather than the peg. (Didn’t like the upper on the 36) You might enjoy the rebel as well if you’re looking for light but some cushion. They’re not as cushioned as the pegs, but definitely more than the zantes while being lighter than the zantes.
Pretty sure the impulse came out before the Zante Pursuit and isn't being continued. Doesn't make much sense to replace a more recently discontinued shoe with an even longer ago discontinued shoe.
The Tempo is the Zante replacement.
I'd say live it up a little and go with something a bit more modern though. The Fuelcell Rebel is where to look if you want to stay in New Balance and want a 6mm drop and a faster shoe.
Performance/speed trainers:
Skechers Razor 3, Reebok Floatride Run Fast, Brooks Hyperion Tempo, Fuelcell Rebel.
Little more cushioned but lightweight trainers:
Saucony Freedom 3, Skechers Gorun 7+, Reebok Floatride Panthea, Pegasus Turbo 2.
Like some have said. The New Balance Tempo is the replacement to the zante.
However - the Reebok Run Fast is a very nice low stack height shoe.
Maybe the Adidas SL20?
