Sometimes it feels like the only thing limiting me in racing is the fact that my feet absolutely burn up when I begin to run fast in spikes or lightweight flats. I've had races and workouts on the track and roads where everything else felt fine but my feet began to absolutely burn up which inevitably causes me to slow me down. After one race, I could literally feel the heat emanating from them due to the friction when I took them off. This happens regardless of whether I wear socks or not and usually when I do wear socks my feet just get sweaty and feel heavy which is a problem in its own right. I honestly think this is more of a personal mental barrier than physical one because no one else I know complains of this but does anyone else have this problem? Any advice on building up pain tolerance?
