Swedens testing is very poor compared to Norway, thats why they the reports of infected have been low, but they are really spiking now, whereas the numbers in Norway shows a very good trend.
There is also a big lag in the system from the Swedes bad attitudes, starting to show now. Last day 59 Swedes died, the total number in Norway is 40, increasing by 4 the last day. Yes it is 88% more inhabitants in Sweden, but the difference is nevertheless appalling.
Like I said, I don’t care about the testing numbers. Some test more than others. Sometimes intentionally, sometimes not.
I wouldn’t characterize anything as “bad” or “good”. There are different approaches. We need to understand which approach might be better. Number of deaths is a relevant metric. Economic loss is also relevant to the discussion, whether one likes it or not.
To date, yes, a lot more Swedes have died. As another poster pointed out, 80% of the Swedish fatalities were 70 years and older due to a nursing home outbreak.
