Has anyone run with their vaporflys on gravel? How do they do?

Also I tried the Carbon X on gravel and the stones totally destroyed the outsole. Since it has no rubber and is just foam it made small dents all over and really large dents under the ball of the foot.
ZoomX foam has almost no durability, even on smooth asphalt. Stones will literally chew it apart to the point you might not even be able to finish (depending on your stride).
If the route has "a little chipped stone here and there" you are ok. if it's "mostly or all chipped stone" Just don't do it and pick a trail shoe like the Peg36 trail.
I have run amazingly (for me) on gravel. 10 mile race at barely over 6 min/mi when 6:10s were the goal. I also coach and have athletes wear them in xc races and claim to prefer them to spikes on gravel. My 4% are at 200 mi and going strong.

I picked 1/4” pebbles out of the soft part of the foam after running on asphalt where there were some of the pebbles. Sharp rocks that size will just push in and create holes in the foam and stay there. I can’t imagine what running on gravel a long time would do.

I ruined a pair of AlphaFlys this way. Got rocks wedged in that hole thing on the bottom.

Oh no... your poor shoes
They have the alpha blues
Tiny rock in the hole
Ruins the beautiful sole
Oh, oh, woe for your shoe
The rock turned it into poo
It isn't at all funny
Because of wasted money
:(
I don't have this problem in the streak 7s, which retailed for hundreds less. LOL

Vaporfly 2's used to handle it fine. The 3's with the new waffle patterned outsole gets instantly chewed up.

This is simply not true. You run much faster on gravel in a traditional shoe with firm mid soul and outer soul. The Nike cheaters were always and only designed for roads.
Do you ever see Sage Canaday running Leadville 100 in Alphaflys?
