These are the U. S. flu numbers since October 1, 2019 .
Imagine if these were the coronavirus numbers
Things people say:
Coronavirus is more deadly than the flu.
Apparently not since at least 20K have already died from the flu. If the media reported each flu death with a rolling ticker people would really 💩 themselves.
Coronavirus spreads faster than the flu.
With 34 million infected by the flu, in the U.S alone, in a 5 month span, there is no evidence that the coronavirus is more infectious than the flu and much evidence to the contrary.
Coronavirus has a higher death rate than the flu.
The flu death rate is calculated by using the total number of estimated flu illnesses, people are reporting the coronavirus death rate based on only known cases and is not indicative of how many are actually infected. That number would realistically be in the millions if testing were possible and/or available, which would make the actual death rate extremely low.
Everyone is 💩'ing themselves over a virus that has shown no serious threat to public health. There are clusters of infections because when they find one, they start testing more people and thus find more infected. Those people are not dropping dead, yet people are still overreacting. Meanwhile, people are literally dropping dead every day from influenza and no one says a word. The same elderly population that is being affected by the coronavirus, is dying from the flu at a rate of more than 100X - and no one is hoarding toilet paper and scrubbing their skin off because of it.
Please, for the love of God...
Take a step back...
Look at the facts...
CALM THE F**K DOWN!
