What is the oldest age of person that you have actually SEEN using a computer

One of my grandmothers got really into computers about 25 years ago. She was a teacher when she was younger and decided it would be an important life skill. My other grandmother refused to even use an ATM.

Grandmother in law - She was 98 the last time I saw her check her email on her iMac. Don't think she's been on it since - turning 100 in a few months (hopefully).

A professor in his 70s, he's in his 80s now and presumably still using a computer. He was far more proficient than most millenials. I'd imagine any teacher or professor uses a computer, so just find the oldest one and you'll find the oldest computer user.

My dad is 83. He was a computer programmer for a living starting in 1959. My parents and all their old friends have been all over the internet since the 90s. They've had personal computers since the 80s. These days their iPhones never leave their sides.

Most ppl over 65 have never and will never use a computer.

They are afraid of them. It was part of their penetration growing up.

This is the answer. Programmable computers have been around a long time so the people who built and used the first ones have too.

Wide spread use has been around since the 80’s so people who were in their 30’s and 40’s then are 60+ now.

Does presumption count?.....or should i just call it guess work?

David Goodall, the Australian professor/scientist who took his life at 104 because he didn't want ot live again.

I have never seen him, I don't know whether he used a computer or not (in his last days) but I believe he did.

I went to 7 different universities, 2 of which were HBC'S. (historically black colleges). The one that I did NOT receive a degree or certificate from was an all black college in lawton Oklahoma. It was called Cameron. It was 49 percent Nigerian from africa, and 49 percent black American. Either way it was 99 percent black. I dont even know if the university even still exists or not. The whole school was really really pushing this African safari them and was totally decorated like an African safari. I went there for 4 semesters before going to LIU in Brooklyn and my grad school in spain.

The problem at Cameron in lawton was racial and social. The comanche Indians do have a headquarters in lawton, but none if them go to that school. The school is all black. I tried making friends with a Nigerian boy in the cafeteria and asked him are there lions in his home country. He went crazy and said yes they are in zoos and jumped on the table, ripped off his shirt, started banging his chest, and then started hitting me. The police were called over that huge riot.

3 weeks later, my roommate who was asian and also pretty much the only other non black in the school, was stabbed to death in the bathroom showers on the 10th floor of the dorms where we lived. We lived in the 10th floor of a nasty old dorm building on campus with no hot water and broken elevators.

He was stabbed for being racially different. No doubt.

After the shower stabbing, I left Cameron university. I went there just shy of 4 semester. Can't believe I survived that long. You can find other news stories in the area of the hoodlums killing a Australian baseball player down the road in Duncan because he was white.
