Been trying to run 200k weeks but struggling. Sleeping hasn’t been great, often wake-up tired. Have had to bail out of a few workouts here and there but mostly trending upwards. In reading various threads they all say “you will be tired, it will pass.” I’ve hit 200k for 4 of the past 6 weeks with two of those weeks having an off day from feeling tired. Also work 40 hours per week. Should I keep pushing through or back-off to 160-180k?
Never hit those numbers myself, any specific reason my you want to hit 200km? You body is under too much stress from the combination of physically (running), mental (work) or emotional (relationship), anything you can do for the latter two to reduce the stress?
The other stressor is diet, are you eating too late (less than 90mins before bed) and second what is your diet like? Getting enough vitamins, protein and minerals? Eating a lot of refined food and sugars or is it wholegrain and fresh produce?
Between those you should be able to workout why the mileage is impacting your workouts otherwise if you can’t back it off for several works and slowly build back up to 200km
