Do what you normally do, take the same precautions you'd take to prevent the flu...By the time coronaviruses reaches you it may be a lot less potent or possibly more.

I think this is a bioweapon of some sort...which means someone has an antidote for it..

Good thing is that we'll probably get more time off from work.

The first person to person transmission in the US is significant, it means that there are already infected people here now that have not been in China that are capable of spreading it.

Now they have to look at people who present with flu like symptoms that have not traveled recently differently. This is a major development.

After all this time there are still fewer than 80,000 cases in China, meaning (rounding off the population to 1 billion) only 0.008% of the people have been stricken. It will be similar in the US.

However this would be a good excuse to build a wall around San Francisco.

Though C.D.C. officials said it was possible the patient was exposed to a returning traveler who was infected, the new case appears to be one of community spread — one in which the source of infection is unknown.

“The thing that would immediately make all of us uneasy is if this person has no direct contact with someone who comes from an affected country,” said Dr. William Schaffner, an infectious disease specialist at Vanderbilt University."

“That would suggest there are other undetected cases out there, and we have already started some low-grade transmission.”

2. China has the ability to *lock down* multi-million population cities - try that in San Fran...

So it appears that China has ridden out this 'pandemic', despite having thousands of cases, yet it's assumed that the likes of Italy and the world's only superpower the USA wont be able to?

I just checked the site that gives the latest death toll and infection figures, and it's clear that it's levelling out. Yesterday there was just 38 deaths worldwide. This compared to over 100 a day just a couple of weeks ago. Why aren't the media printing headlines like 'only 38 new deaths - outbreak stabalizing'?

I wonder how many new billionaires are going to be created from 'buying on the dip' this week?

Trump created the initial panic because he saw it was a way to put the economic screws to China because he is bigly losing the trade wars.
