Has anyone tried the Newton shoes? What are they like? How does the footstike feel?

*Ring*Ring*
Me: Hello?
Voice: Yeah, this is 10 Years Ago calling. Someone had a question about Newton shoes?
*Slams Receiver* (it was a receiver because back then some people still had landlines)
I ran in them like 8 years ago. I was a college runner with a forefoot strike when every other shoe company was making shoes with 10 + cm drops.
The newtons allowed me to run my natural forefoot strike. A lot of shoe companies make shoes now with a less pronounced drop.
They take some time to get used to, but can work very well. Probably not for everyone though.
Gravitys have always worked for me, usually 800 miles or so, as a general mileage shoe. Great for tempo and GA.
Energy IIs worked great
Distance didn't work for me

They were the "go to" shoe for triathletes until Vaporfly came along.
Of course Nike Free was the "go to" shoe for people on here until Vaporfly came along.
