9:17 is my 3200 school record and I ran 9:42 this past Saturday for my second race (ran a 9:46 full 2 mile the week before) I really want the school record and I just do not know the workouts or anything to get me there. I was talking to the coach who was there when the record was set(1982 I believe) and he said that his best indoor time from that winter was a 9:44. He also told me the current holder had about the same speed I do(57 400 speed for me). I am right now doing mid-50s a week but the past 2 weeks I have done 48 and 49. I plan to get into the 60s this week so hopefully, I will get a lot more endurance. So I am asking for some tips on what to do. My overall pr is 9:39 so I am really close to my pr but I need some more help. So I would really appreciate the help!
