Is it worth waiting untill alphafly and/or other brands contenders are public or will these most likely not be that much better (if better at all) than the Vaporfly?

Kipchoge ran 2:00:25 in the Vaporflys. He ran 1:59:40 in the alphafly. So if you wait for the alphafly, you can improve by 45 seconds!
What Bekele did was most impressive of all. Tells me the next% are more than good enough.
The Alphafly Kipchoge used is not what they will release. The prototype had >40mm stack height in the heel and 3 plates.
Maybe just stick with the tried and true Next versus a makeshift last-minute adjustment to the Alpha. Though, they prob will drop the price once the Alpha comes out.
The alphas are actually a terrible shoe and thats why they wont let anyone train in them just show up on race day and put blind faith and lose.
The flying v saved about 5-6 minutes. So the alphas are probably a 2:05/6 shoe.

I’d stick with the Cheaterfly Many%s, it’s unbelievably good. You’ll boing your way to PRs from 10k and up. Besides, the Alphafly is hideous.

What proof do you have of this claim? Are you assuming the prototype designs leaked (of which the 3 plate design was just one) are the ones kipchoge used?
Also, the general release alphafly will also have a >40mm stack height in Kipchoge’s size as the regulation measurement is based on sample size, (us 8.5 maybe, I forget) and scaled accordingly so will exceed 40mm in larger sizes.
The Alphafly developed is the one being released, to think nike changed the design of the shoe in 4 days after the rules were announced in time for the unveiling is absurd.

Very false information. The prototype had only ONE plate- 3 as seen in the patent was not ever feasible in real life. Nike also foresaw the stack height stipulations quite awhile ago. Kipchoge’s shoe size (us8.5) was/still is 39.5mm.
Eliud is not a sz 8.5. He is a US10.

Nobody said he was an 8.5

Apologies, someone did say it.

You sound like Swoosh guy. What did amateurs Patrick and Chris use December 2018? Same as Kip?

Yes, he is a size 8.5us in spikes/flats.

There were multiple stack heights experimented with in wear testing over the last 2-2.5 years. The 3 plates were an immediate failure when attempted to implement from conception into an actual product.
Didn’t a dude broke the road 5k world record about a week or so ago wearing the Next% ?

To think that you believe Nike’s propaganda is absurd as well. You think they never had a plan B in place already? (they have all the money in the world to pull it off, don’t be naive) Both designs, one with 3 plates that Kipchoge used, and another one with just one plate as well?

it's not that Nike changed their design to meet the guidelines...it's that World Athletics designed their guidelines around Nike's upcoming shoe. that's the problem

Unless you are a Nike insider in the RD department and you can prove it, I stick to my previous post.
