If I run 30 miles per week, that means I would have to buy new shoes every 4 months.
I don't have that kind of money.

nikes only last 462.4 miles. the air pocket implodes internally at that point, releasing noxious gases that slowly erode the cushlon
It's funny you posted this thread - I've got over 500 miles on my Odyssey Reacts.
Been running for over 20 years and typically get maybe 300 at best on various brands - ASICS, saucony, New Balance, Mizuno, etc before I could tell they were done. Yeah, you get some muppets on here claiming 1,000 miles etc which yeah sure you could do if pursuing some mad economy whilst destroying your legs but personally ~ 300 and they're done as a decent ride.
The reacts are the only exception I've ever had to this...
I usually ran 800 to 1000 on my free runs. they don't give much for support in the first place though.

Then find out a way to make more money or stop running so much.
Problem solved, brah.
Buy previous years' models at a significant discount. Buy two pairs and alternate between them to extend the life of the midsoles.
Nike Epic React is the most durable, comfy and light shoe I’ve owned. Not great for super fast stuff but you can find last years model for £60 and both my pairs lasted over 1200 miles.
Only easy runs and long runs in the them. I’m about 66kg and fairly efficient, which means I do get a bit more life out of shoes than most.
I’m 170 lbs and my peg 34s have gone about 450 so far. Starting to wear tho. I’d say I do about 1/5 of my mileage on track 1/5 on dirt trails and 3/5 on the road. A 145-155 type guy would get 500 easy
Pegasus are easily bought at 40% discount over retail, so 72 USD... is that really considered too much money in a first world country like the USA? any one with a barely decent work should be able to spend that a couple times a year.
