Any else had trouble with Garmin Forerunner not connecting to your phone to upload runs?

I had the same problem where my 225 stopped upload to the app. I googled a lot and found something that finnaly worked. It seems the connect app is sensitive to other apps that are aloud to overlay on the phone. This is typically facebook messenger. So I changed the settings for that specific app so that it was not aloud to ovelay and that solved all the issues!

Mine wasn't uploading to the computer with the cable either but I think I just figured it out. It would connect but wouldn't sync so I went to tools then utilities then clicked "clear upload history" and that seems to have worked

I used a Forerunner 220 for a couple years and it worked great. A few months ago it stopped syncing and no matter what I tried would not connect. Called tech support and they recommended buying a newer model because they stopped making software updates YEARS ago. I hate the fact that I have to stop using a perfectly good watch that weathered well.

But I found a Forerunner 235 on sale for Black Friday and it works great now.

Nevermind, still not working

Ok I got it to work. Doing the clear uploads let it commect to garmin express on my computer but still wasn't connecting to my phone's garmin connect app. Simply turning the watch off and on again let it connect properly

This happens to me at least once per week. I just have to shut off the bluetooth on my watch, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on. Then open up the app on my phone again and it usually syncs again. If it doesn't, I just keep turning off and on the bluetooth. Usually works the first time.

This happened to me in the fall with my 620. I assumed it was due to Garmin no longer supporting updates.

It's not a huge deal, but now I plug it into my computer each morning. Figure I'll ride this out for a while before getting a newer watch.

I had this problem last month. I had to factory reset the watch and then it worked great. Nothing else had worked.
