100 miles are exceeded in the shoe?
No good to anyone, a good training shoe, still a good racer? Other?

Cosmetic wear, but functionally good as new.
If you plant it in the ground it will grow into a potato plant in 6-8 months.

In my opinion it's still a good shoe for workouts, but foam is beat down a bit and not as firm for maximum speed results.
The shoe isn't a 'spring'... It is a fantastic foam that uses the carbon fiber plate to help keep its form. Without the plate it is too squishy. Running a lot on it beats down the foam and makes it more squishy which is not as fast.
Chop it into tiny bits and stir fry it

duly noted.
Even worse, the shoe can't be recycled due to the carbon plate. This is verified by people who are involved in the shoe recycling program at Nike.
Boooo.
Buy a foam replacement kit - good as new.
I have 18-month old 4%s with 105 miles, and a brand new pair in the closet. Walking around my house the two are indistinguishable.
