I'm a collegiate runner who will be running the 5k/10k outdoors and am looking for some advice on finding a pair of the vaporfly next% for less than $250. I was interested in the vaporfly 4% flyknit but am no longer interested because of how the flyknit upper may become heavy on a rainy day.
Has anyone been able to find any for a cheaper price? Any website or coupon code tips? Thank you all for you help and happy running!
If you want to Google search you can see what they are listed out. Although are at your own risk when you order from some of the sketchy websites. One of the possibilities you may have, is to become friends with someone that works at a dicks sporting good or shoe store. They get 25 percent off.
But ideally, you really would not use them in a track race. It seems as if most of the collegiate track runner still prefer the spikes. The only time you would really use that would be for a open road race anyways.
I believe Nick Symmonds is selling a pair for a good price. They are brand new and never been worn.

Go to Eugene and figure out where Nick Symmonds is doing his next giveaway. In a recent video he gave a pair to any rando who could name the shoe.

False that’s how I got a pair for 186 on Cyber Monday. It was surprising but great.
Nope they were supposed to be excluded, but the 25% off coupon worked. I have a pink pair, I got using the discount that was $187.50.

If there is a scheels nearby try that. Every time I have been to one they have next% on sale for 200.

I’ve run in the Vaporfly Flyknit in the rain and don’t know what on earth you are talking about.
So they don't get heavy/soggy during a wet race? This was one of my big concerns

I’ve run in the Vaporfly Flyknit in the rain and don’t know what on earth you are talking about.
They developed the Next% upper specifically for this issue. Kipchoge complained about it after that rainy Berlin marathon.

Looks lik ethe current 25% off code works now, unfortunately they don't have my size. Code RUN25 gets 25% off.
Try looking for local shops giving discounts to local running communities. That's how I got mine 20% off despite only running with guys from that club in one race and a parkrun once. You'd be limited to current stock of course.

I’ve run multiple races in the rain and the upper being wet was barely noticeable - certainly not “heavy”. My biggest concern was slipping going around a wet corner.
If you go on Nike’s website they’re down like almost 30% I believe. Pay like $200ish with tax
If you're still looking...Nike has cheaper vaporfly flyknits still at $186.97, but they offer a 10% student discount as well as long as your school qualifies. Mine is a small D3 school and it did so you should have no problem. About $180 even with shipping
