Why do so many guys wear the pink VaporFlys Next%? Are they made for females? Unisex? Cheaper than the Green (Volt) color?
Literally was in the half in Mesa yesterday and a group of 6 guys I was running with 5/6 had pink shoes.

Who cares what color they are? Are you "too much of a man" to wear pink?
To be eye-catching in-person, in photos, and on video. Much like the bright green colorway, just updated.
i think pink is just the more recent colorway release of the 2

At one point, the only colors available were pink and black and the black ones sold out in most sizes. I'd wear pink shoes if I thought they'd help me pr.
I think it is great marketing - make them as flashy as possible so more people notice everyone setting PRs in flashy shoes.
Pink was the only color available when I got mine
The pink looks sick is why
I don’t have vaporflys, but I do know the pink was the only color available most of the time on the web site. The other colors that came out sold out really fast and were also priced higher. Pink was cheapest and available the longest. Now it’s also no longer available (Canada web site). So I imagine there are people who bought pink as they had no choice if they wanted the next %.
However, I came to say I’ve worn a lot of hideously ugly shoe colors as I will buy the models that are on sale. The ugly colors always go on sale for super cheap. I can’t imagine caring what color my shoes are and I certainly would never spend more money just to get a “nicer” color. How can it possibly matter what color your running shoes are? Why would anyone care?
whatever is cheap and available wrote:

I definitely care, but that’s what being in high school is I guess.

I assume because the green ones were out of stock in their size when they bought them, as often happens.
Like the ASICS super shoe
