His early videos were quite good.
Squamish, his training videos in LA, but now it’s not the same. He made some good films before he got too big.
Now the podcasts are thanking some former fat a$$ for pledging to Patreon and kissing a$$ of whomever “elite” or boring coach appears as a guest. Just like Sage and the rest, all self promotion to just make $$$. Everyone “crushed it” In their last race. Maybe he will move back to LA and create original content again.
Or get a divorce or something.

He’s the Sage Canaday of Podcasts. Tries hard, but nobody takes him serious.
He seems like a nice enough guy who really likes trail running and making videos. I like him.
Some of his early reviews were pretty good, and you need to give him some credit for trying to create a consistent structure and rating system for video reviews. He really tried to make entertaining videos which appeal to a wider audience than typical gear reviews.
I feel like his reviews tended to be limited to whatever companies were trying to build their trail running brands on social media for a U.S. market. He never really went into European outdoor equipment, or tried-and-true gear from non-trail-running-specific sources.
I think a lot of YouTubers have been exploited in recent years for marketing substandard and overpriced goods. Fashion over function.
The Ginger Runner’s heart is in the right place. It’s just that maybe the industry itself is not.

Ditto
Also agree with the above.
His early racing and training videos are quite fun. I still watch some of them from time to time.
Also, he makes some pretty cool music. I don't love all of it, but quite a bit is catchy and fun and feels like something you could run for hours with it while stuck in your head. Or headphones, if you're one of those types. I never run with them.
I totally agree with you.
His reviews are superficial, inconsistent, and useless.
He used to have good race videos.
I’ve enjoyed his ultra trail race videos during lockdown. I’ve never bothered with his shoe reviews or training vids. The race videos are generally cinematic without too much yapping. Great for daydreaming about running somewhere beautiful.
