Handed off the baton at like 400 lol it’s all over.

The official told them to line up a lap early. He got chewed by the uw coach. “That was their one chance to qualify for nationals and you ruined it.” Heard it with my own ears. Crazy.
Two maybe three teams handed the baton too the mile leg after only running 400m if the 800m leg. LOL
Those old farts are gonna ruin the sport!
The official should have been wearing the vapor fly shoe. If he was none of this would happen. This is all a part of the campaign against Nike.

Thanks for the in-depth reporting. This will help many people understand. A flotrack subscription doesn't even cover this meet so one is left in the dark. What does $30 a month get you now a days?
Hey man I don’t get paid for this s**t so give me a break. I was just tryna let LRC know what happen since OP left us in the dark

Maybe go to the meet if you're so upset about this poster's coverage.

In his own words

Then you didn't watch Oregon run yesterday. They were way ahead before the 1600. Worley and Teare would have been a great leg but Worley had no shot.
They’re re-running it today.

Sounds fun.
No way those ladies come back to compete well today. A lot of emotions, frustrations, etc. I wouldn't be surprised to see someone drop a stick!

Yeah I hate when people claim its only comes down to Anchor leg. When Ches split 3:52 on anchor the ducks only ran 9:27 which means that Yesterday's team was 6 six seconds better amongst the first 3 legs. The last two years that the Oregon Women won the DMR at Nationals their Anchor legs were around the same split as team that set the Women's DMR record yet both of those NCAA teams were 4-5 seconds behind the record. The only time it comes down to the Anchor leg is when the pace lags or the best Anchor doesn't want to lead which typically happens at the National Meet.
I’m still amazed at how many people think “devastated” is funny.

Pointless? Unless you're the guy not getting to go to nationals. I think you'd have a different perspective if you were to look at it like that.
The dmr isn’t any more pointless than any other event. They all have their place in the sport.
You'd think that after ten years in college, byu runners would be able to at least count to 5.

Meet was on Runnerspace /USATF+ right?
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
