Has anyone run in this shoe? How does it feel compared to the previous Epic React model? Is this shoe appropriate for easy long runs too?

I tried it on and it felt like the previous epic reacts....
Which is to say I hated it for all the same reasons I hated the original epics. They are not a running shoe.
The only people who I've seen 'like this' are Nike insiders/influencers/instagram models. I wish Nike stopped with these gimmicks were they sell a 'sneaker' that looks like a 'running shoe' to trick runners.
Nobody is going to wear this monstrosity and Nike's claims will go unchecked. Save your money for vaporwear.
I guess the other guy looses sleep over presumes Nike “influence.
While their marketing hype on the Infinity is bold and the way they defined injury in the study was a bit loose (I.e. not being able to run for 3 days = injury)... the actual shoe is very good.
The previous reacts were fine. I like the epic on occasion, the odyssey as a casual shoe, They never stood out to me.
However, the design of the Infinity caught my eye. The rocker sole, the aggressive toe ramp (like the Next%/Fly3), the soft react foam channel design that distributes impact and the wide toe area AND heel with mild support... seemed like the shoe I wanted for those easy days.
In realty. They are actually work, marketing hype aside. The Infinity feels nothing like the epic. It’s a very different shoe.
I have two pairs. Once with 80miles and the other with 120miles. I’m in love. I grab them most days now and will be traveling with a pair for the next few weeks.
Very stable. I don’t need a support shoe but the rails on the heel seem to keep everything in place and my legs thank me. React is good. While I have never liked flyknit this version of it is the best yet. Heel lockdown is fine for me, I have a narrow volume foot. The toe box is roomy, but not as massive as a lot of reviewers have said. The shoe fits very well and runs very confidently. The outsole is SO much better than the Epics... it may be my favorite Nike outsole (peg 35/36 was the former).
It’s a great shoe. It is a “serious Runner’s” shoe. It’s not a lifestyle shoe.
A friend who mine who manages our LRS had them a little bit before the release and had great things to say about them. He's not typically a Nike guy and was skeptical, but said he was surprisingly impressed.

Quite a few of the pros do their easy runs in the Infinity. I see them often on the trail around the Nike campus.

I like the Epic React 2. I bought it as a lifestyle shoe but started to like it as a running shoe. In my opinion it's the best shoe for the HIIT class. It's bouncy, has enough cushioning but not too soft. As a running shoe it's very versatile. There is a wide variety paces that can be run in it. It's not very comfortable for long runs and not fast enough for the fastest intervals but I would say that it's fine for most runs up to 10 miles. In addition to that it looks awesome when you wear it as a gymshoe.
The React Infinity Run is so much heavier that I cannot see how it's going to replace the Epic React. All the talk about injury reduction etc. hints that it's a jogging shoe.
I love the shoe. I had the epic and this is not like it. This is better, more stable and just feels better. I have not used it for any fast runs but keep reaching for it every easy day. Must be for a reason.
Heard good things from a friend who’s a good runner. If they weren’t expensive af for what they are I’d get a pair.

This guy gets it!
Tried them they felt like 1080 v10 but like most Nike shoes they're too narrow in the midfoot even though everyone said it was " wider" it still felt constricted. Maybe the upper might stretch with time but the few runs I used them they irritated my wide feet.

Agree with this postand just want to chime in on the fit. Maybe rant a little.
I went to try the React Infinity Run (RIR) in-store just for fun, because I knew my wide midfoot was not going to fit in this shoe, it was worse than I thought. The extended plastic heel/midfoot counter was very uncomfortable. Within the first 3 seconds, I knew it was gonna hurt to run in these. Reviews say this shoe is wider, maybe, in the forefoot only.
Also, it fits nothing like the Epic React 2, which fits me pretty well. The flyknit in the ER2 conforms to your foot shape, while the RIR's new lofted flyknit is stiffer and less strechy. Also, the ER2 does not have a stability heel clip thing to get in the way of the flyknit. That heel clip pretty much defeats the purpose of flyknit, might as well have a regular tonged upper.
Sorry, no comments about the rocker geometry or react foam. I'm sure they are great if you have regular feet.
For reference. I wear:
1080 v10 9.5 4E
Beacon v2 10 2E
Epic React 10
Floatride Energy 10
Challenger ATR 5 10 2E
is this a shoe for pronators or can neutral and supinators wear it too?
They seem to be pretty versatile in terms of working for a variety of foot types... but yeah, that arch/midfoot narrowness prevents a lot of people from being able to wear it. It's pretty odd, too, 'cause the forefoot is kinda wide and the knit is really flexible, so if the arch works for a foot (as it does for me), the forefoot is often swimming (even mild turns leave my toes moving within the shoe).
I actually really like the overall feel of it.
I have a medium arch and they work fine. I would say about 15-20 miles to break them in though because at first I did feel the arch quite a bit
