For a morning training run. Is it essential or are your fuel reserves from the previous night's dinner good enough to sustain you.

Yes I do it all the time. I don’t worry about eating anything until it gets around 2 hours.
personal preference i think, as long as you're eating properly. i've ran 20-22mi in the morning without eating prior, although i did make sure to eat a little extra the night before. so i imagine you would be fine
I cant believe the thought of eating before a run even enters your mind. Strange.
1. Wakeup.
2. Get dressed
3. Evacuate
4. Run
5/6 or 6/5. Shower/breakfast
Not if you’ve got the talent to race at 9 min per mile pace.
I do all my runs up to about 15 miles on an empty stomach. If you eat right, then yes, you have plenty of fuel for your morning run. The more important thing is eating after your run hitting all macros. The post meal is far more important than the pre-meal for performance purposes.
I've done sessions on an empty stomach first thing many times, nevermind easy runs.
Ran up to 13-14 miles on empty too.
Your body has plenty in reserve enough to get through a 6 mile run.

Seems like you're duplicating effort if you get dressed then evacuate. Why not switch 2 and 3 so that you aren't putting on shorts that you're just going to pull right back down again?
I always ran my early morning runs of 5-6 miles on an empty stomach. Then come in to shower, dress, and eat breakfast.
LOL OP is pretty dumb

It's a reasonable question; not everyone was blessed with your preternatural training knowledge.
what you should do is experiment and find out what works best for you.
most people i know don't eat before morning runs, mainly because of the time it takes.
it shouldn't take you more than 5mins to get a toast with peanut butter and a glass of milk
If you eat solid food immediately before a 6 mile run, most of it won't be hitting your bloodstream till you're done anyway. If you have adequate carbs in your diet, the timing isn't crucial. You'll have enough glycogen stored in your muscles. I don't even eat the morning of a marathon (sensitive stomach).
I typically eat something like toast or muffin. It keeps the morning stomach acids from being an issue. Nothing more, or the run would not go well.
I just ran 19 miles with 13 a little faster than MP. Nothing but a cup of coffee before the run as usual. I guess a little more fuel would have helped but I never think of it unless I'm going over 20 which is very rare.

I agree. I always sh!it n piss before I get dressed, not after.

It seems like getting dressed is duplicative effort considering you have to get undressed again to shower. Consider swapping 2 and 5 also.
What about if you have an early race?
Parkrun (a weekly timed 5k) is at 9am and I usually don't eat much beforehand if I'm not giving it 100%. If I am going for a time, then I will get up at 6am to eat.
